This script adds a powerful, low-overhead filtering system to old.reddit.com. It lets you permanently hide or highlight posts based on subreddit, username, or title text using exact matches or regex patterns. All rules are stored persistently and apply instantly to newly loaded posts without reloading the page.

Filtering works in two modes:
Filters Enabled: matching posts are fully hidden.
Filters Disabled: matching posts remain visible but are color-coded to show which rule triggered.

The script uses lightweight caching and a minimal mutation observer for very low CPU impact even on infinite scroll pages.

Features:

Block specific subreddits permanently.

Block specific users permanently.

Add subreddit regex rules that match patterns instead of fixed names.

Add title regex rules for flexible keyword or pattern filtering.

Persistent storage of all lists using GM storage.

Optional color highlighting when filters are turned off so you can inspect why a post matched.

Toggle button for enabling or disabling all filters without removing them.

Inline buttons on each post to block or unblock the post’s subreddit or author with one click.

Live processing of newly loaded posts through a minimal mutation observer to avoid CPU spikes.

Full menu interface through Tampermonkey for adding, removing, listing, or clearing regex rules.

Usability:

Works automatically once installed.

All rule changes take effect instantly without page reload.

All lists remain stored until edited or cleared.

Very efficient even on large subreddits, long sessions, or heavy browsing.
