I think the page that you download the converted PDF from is being blocked by Cloudflare on the site that actually does the conversion (seen in line 63). I don't know if that is fixable, so for now I have made a bookmarklet to take me to a different website for downloading:

(This works on the scribd.com/document/... page, not /embed/)
stuck on convert page! not worth it!
