First off, sorry about v2.
Version 1 was plain and simple: one text box per character page, nothing fancy, and it just worked. In rushing to add more features for v2, I broke that simplicity and, worse, missed that old v1 notes would silently disappear on upgrade. That one’s on me.
This v3 release fixes it. It can read both v1 and v2 notes (as long as you still have the same browser and haven’t cleared its data). If you had classic notes, they’ll show up as “Imported (Classic)” inside the new notepad.

What’s gone (for now)
Some of the bloat features from v2 like split view, history snapshots, emoji picker, floating overlay modes, etc have been stripped out.
Maybe they return later, maybe not. It is still a WIP.
Upgrade paths
- If you used v1, your old note will be imported as a single “Imported (Classic)” note.
- If you used v2, your notes will also carry forward.
- If you time-traveled between versions in odd ways, you might see empty notes — but if your browser data wasn’t wiped, the raw v1 notes are still sitting in storage and v3 will grab them.
