Adblock Plus и uBlock Origin вполне способны заблокировать такого рода рекламу в современных версиях Firefox и Chrome. Можете спокойно удалить.

Данный скрипт ранее предназначался для блокировки рекламы, загружаемой через WebSocket-соединения, доступные во всех современных браузерах. В старых версиях браузеров был недостаток, позволявший устанавливать соединения с рекламными доменами без ведома расширений, установленных в браузере. На данный момент он может потребоваться разве что в браузере Maxthon пока они не обновили используемый у них движок.

This script were used to block ads loaded over WebSocket connections available in all modern browsers. In old versions of browsers there were a problem in the implementation which allowed to connect to ad domains without exposing such connections to extensions installed in browser. Currently there is no need to use it besides Maxthon browser until they update their engine.

Very simplistic version of this script is included into RU AdList JS Fixes.
