That’s highly unlikely. The script only injects CSS and removes the favicon, neither of which are heavy operations. The MutationObserver ensures styles stay applied dynamically, but it’s optimized to only trigger when necessary
If you’re experiencing slowdowns, it’s more likely due to YouTube’s own bloat, other extensions, or a slow connection. Feel free to check your Task Manager to see if the script is actually causing any noticeable resource usage. But in normal conditions, this should have zero impact on YouTube’s performance
