how does the "sync additional info" feature work?

how does the "sync additional info" feature work? do you link to a text file or something?

is it like info.txt:

@changelog blah blah blah blah
@redist none
@nsfw true

or something? I don't understand

It's just a link to a text file with some html allowed or markdown. The contents is shown on a script info page. Normally it's entered manually on a script update page in Additional info text field.

The tooltip on sync page mentions @name just to explain that the language of the info will match the one autodetected from the script's @name key.
