Whether a twitter list fits in the menu bar depends upon the width of your browser window and the length of the name of your list, but the allowable space has been decreased with twitter's addition of "Moments" to the menu bar. The way I use twitter on my laptop, adding my list of "Favorite Tweeters" to the menu bar causes the search box to word wrap to the next line, which gets in the way.
