Greasy Fork is available in English.
All image posts in Twitter/X Home, other blog streams and single post views link to the high-res "orig" version. Thumbnail images in the stream are modified to display uncropped.

Thanks for letting me know about this - I have no access to the beta and I've never used the mobile site before.
I had a look at the mobile site - while it uses much more modern HTML concepts, the html code itself is really, REALLY atrocious :-(
Do you know if the mobile site has been this way for quite some time? Or has it changed and evolved over the last few weeks and months?
If the code is still evolving I'd strongly prefer to wait until the beta phase is finished - hopefully the code will have improved and cleaned up notably by then...
Updated for new Twitter UI (based on React framework). Feedback very welcome!

Doesn't work on New Twitter
It currently doesn't work at all on the new PWA based Twitter (formally Twitter Lite) https://twitter.com/Twitter/status/1087791357756956680
If you don't have the beta to test against, the mobile site currently uses the exact same codebase http://mobile.twitter.com/ but the final desktop site will still be on Twitter.com of course
