Splits a segment in one step rather than drawing a throwaway segment across the road and deleting it.

## ✂️ Using it

1. Press **C** (or your configured shortcut) over the map, or press **Arm scissors** in the ✂️ panel in Scripts.
2. Move near a road — a dashed line points at the exact spot the cut will land.
3. Click. The segment splits there, and both halves end up selected.

**Esc** cancels at any point and changes nothing.

## 📌 Good to know

- **It won't leave you a stub.** Cuts closer than 5 m to either end of a segment are refused; change that distance in the sidebar tab if 5 m isn't your taste.
- **Stay armed after each cut** is a setting, for chopping one road into several pieces without re-arming between them. Esc stops, and so does anything the tool declines to cut.
