Description:

The Disable YouTube Numbers userscript prevents accidental jumps in YouTube videos by disabling number keys (top row 1-9, numpad 1-9), the 0 key, and Home/End keys. It runs only on video pages.

Features:

  • Disables top-row number keys (1–9)
  • Disables numpad number keys (1–9)
  • Disables the 0 key
  • Disables Home and End keys
  • Only active on YouTube video pages (/watch URLs)
  • Lightweight and efficient

Instructions:

Step 1: Install a Userscript Manager

To use this script, install a userscript manager such as Violentmonkey or Tampermonkey in your browser.

Step 2: Add the Script

Copy the entire userscript code and create a new script in your userscript manager.

Step 3: Save and Enable the Script

After adding the script, save it and ensure it is enabled.

Step 4: Use YouTube Normally

Navigate to any YouTube video page. Number keys, 0, Home, and End keys will now be disabled on video pages.

Notes:

  • The script only affects YouTube video pages (/watch URLs)
  • You can modify the script to allow the 0 key while still blocking other keys
  • If the script doesn’t work immediately, refresh the page or restart the browser
