What this script does
Removes YouTube’s fullscreen “More Videos” grid and the dark vignette behind it, keeping various YouTube extensions' scroll wheel volume features working normally without slowdown or visual glitches.
Common Questions
Q: Does this work with Enhancer for YouTube? Yes — scroll-wheel volume and other Enhancer shortcuts still function normally.
Q: The grid or vignette came back! YouTube sometimes renames the overlay classes. If that happens:
Open DevTools (F12) → hover the new overlay → copy its class name (e.g., ytp-recs-overlay).
Reply with the new class name here so I can update the script quickly.
Q: Pressing “V” now hides the whole UI and the mouse won't bring it back — is that intentional? Bonus feature! It’s a side effect of the overlay removal that acts as a “minimalist mode.” Press the V key again to toggle it back on, or use Esc to exit fullscreen — the UI will come back, and will be visible again when re-entering fullscreen.
