"Exploders" sponsored listings on the search page

Still working on Firefox and Chrome, what browser are you using and are you combining it with any other adblocks or scripts? cheers
I spoke too soon, Chrome seems to be blocking something without another one of my scripts running. Let me know what your setup is and I'll make it work
Hey, thanks for the quick response. I'm running the latest version of Waterfox 6.5.9 which is based off of Firefox 128.11.0 ESR.
I tested it with all other scripts disabled, as well as disabling NoScript and Adblock Plus. It's still acting weird, removing all legit search results while only leaving the two "Sponsored" listings that are at the bottom of every search result page.
That explains a lot, the way I remove the sponsored listings is looking at a confirmed sponsored listing, which on all of my browsers + friend's instances is always the first four listings, so we take the second/third- depending on if there's an ad on top.
Are there any other listings that are 100% of the time sponsored? That way I can add a simple toggle to be either or.
Rob
I'm not seeing any sponsored listings at the top of the search results. What I do see consistently are the last two results at the bottom of each page are sponsored. Here are a few examples of what the code looks like for some of those sponsored results.

Okay well, looks like it processed that code instead of showing the code itself lol. But I just discovered something after searching eBay in Chrome with no extensions or scripts installed...I had forgotten that the default sort is BEST MATCH, which does indeed stick at least two sponsored results at the top of the search results pages. I never use BEST MATCH, always sorting by either lowest price or newly listed, and once you sort like that the sponsored listings at the top of the page seem to go away.
Seems like eBay actually changes how everyone sees the ads, weird. I was able to use a different account and I suppose it shows more so like yours.
I updated the code, let me know if it works- I also noticed that the 2nd listing isn't always the first visible which may cause issues as well.
So far so good! It's removing either the first two sponsored listings (Best Match sort) or the last two sponsored listings (Newly Listed, Ending Soonest, Low Price sorts)
All this just to hide two listings LMFAO!
Hah maybe in your case, in my search results the first 4 are always ads, then every 4-5 regular listings there's two more sponsored listings.. wild
I appreciate you changing your review, hope you get a little use out of the script Haha
Oh wow, I haven't seen that many sponsored listings in a long time. I do have ABP, NoScript, and probably some other stuff installed that I've forgotten about (not to mention an adblocker on my router catching a ton of stuff before it even hits any PC on the network).
I'm glad I was able to change my rating, I kinda wish I could edit the first post (I came across like a sarcastic dick lol), but all's well that ends well.
Btw, check out the spin I put on the eBay Shipping Cost Calculator script by Sam01237. I added the ability to calculate/add tax and to show the total even when shipping is free. On line 40 change the 7.5 to whatever % your local tax rate is.

This script is doing the exact opposite of what it claims; it's removing all listings EXCEPT for the sponsored ones. 🤦♂️
