YouTube Stream Timestamp Logger

Hello, today I made/developed a userscript to help clippers (possibly) for ongoing YouTube streams.

This is for clippers who don't (or aren't able to) use OBS to record the whole stream or prefer to wait for the stream to be published with good quality before clipping.

  • Not meant to be used for unarchived streams
  • Not meant to be used expecting to download immediately from live streams
(although you might be able to find something online which allows you to do this)
  • Simply meant to be treated as a timestamp/marker

Why?

Because YouTube doesn't allow you to use the "Copy video URL at current time" for live streams, making it harder to keep track of the timestamp for what you want to clip. This means you have to sift through hours of footage just to find a 1-5 minute segment of what you need, which can be a nightmare for those not using OBS and replay buffer.

[ If it doesn't work anymore, somehow @ me or comment on my video, I'll probably see it as I have notifications on for everything on my Kai Amamiya account. ]
