Well, Linux has nothing with this problem.
This script itself would help solve this kind of problem by proxy, if you still come across it, maybe it's because the site hosting the m3u8 file has a very strict limitation, it can only be requested once or it has to be requested with some special headers, anyway, it just can't be down, sorry to say.
There are always some videos can't be downloaded, no matter how powerful the script is, try to use it on other sites then.
Still, you can report problems when you have.

这个问题暂时无法解决，chrome或者edge发生这种问题的概率小一些，如果碰到了，可以复制一份crswap这个临时文件，然后把后缀改成ts或者mp4就可以了
Hi, I want to download a video from a site using this method, but it says "Error: Failed to request m3u8 file: invalid URL, expired or restricted." Do you know of any extension/script that bypasses this limitation?
This is not an error specifically of your script, it's just that this site provided for downloading via m3u8. Would installing Linux help?
