Redirects links filtered by steam

FTP links are redirected at the server level. It appears steam's own code for it's linkfilter considers the ftp URI to be an invalid link, so it operates as if the page was not fed any link and redirects to the community home page. Userscripts are limited in that they run their JS at the loading of the page, but since the steam community redirect is handled at the server level instead of the browser level, there's nothing I can do to intercept to other than to write a chrome/firefox script.
It's probably best to raise this with steam itself, so they can fix their system. In the event they do that, the link redirector will act in it's intended manner.
FTP links are not recognized
Clicking ftp:// link is not recognized by redirector and just sends you to steamcommunity.com homepage.
