Remove 'X' from Chrome tabs

Hi guys,

I have been looking for a while now for a script that removes the X on chrome's tabs. I usually have a lot of tabs open - not enough to make the X disappear yet, but enough to misclick very often. Especially pages with info that can't be saved are tedious to loose every time.

Would it be possible to make a script for that?

Chrome doesn't allow customizing its UI so there's no way to remove the close buttons. Try using some extension that adds vertical tabs panel like this.
