Sorry I didn't see this sooner.
The egg miner turns other peoples eggs, the act of which generates credits (randomly?). The auto turn feature, which I understand stops turning after a while, allows you to continuously check the status of a set of eggs and turn them when appropriate.

What does egg mining do? The rest seem self explanatory.
