I noticed that lately (Feb to March 2024), YouTube has been preventing the ability to middle click links that are in the description that lead to external sites, when middle clicking external links, YouTube will prevent the link from opening in a new tab.
This script has just fixed that issue for me and I'm so happy, thank you.
