Reddit Protest

The purpose of this userscript is to protest Reddit's decision to monetize access to its data. This simple script downvotes and clicks the links of promoted posts (ads) as you scroll. The goal is to increase the Cost-Per-Click for Reddit's advertisers while also creating the impression of negative user sentiment towards the ads.

Some of Reddit's advertisers are charged on a Cost-Per-Click basis. Advertiser's who see higher costs for advertising while also receiving negative feedback through Reddit's voting system will be less likely to advertise on the platform in the future. This means less ad revenue for Reddit.
