Google Images Tools Enhanced (GITE)

This userscript enhances the "Tools" filter bar in Google Images search by adding more specific and customizable filtering options.

⭐ Key Enhancements Over Native Google Tools:

GITE modifies existing Google Images filters and introduces new ones:

  • Size Filter Perfected:
    • Beyond "Large," "Medium," and "Icon," GITE adds numerous "Larger than..." options based on both pixel dimensions (e.g., >400x300, >1024x768) and megapixels (e.g., >2MP, >10MP, >40MP).
    • Enhanced two-column layout for better visibility of all size options.
  • Color Filter Upgraded:
    • Adds a "Full Color" option alongside native choices (Any color, Black & White, Transparent, and 12-color palette).
  • Type Filter Expanded:
    • Includes "Face" and "Photo" in addition to native "Clip art," "Line drawing," and "GIF."
  • Time Filter More Granular:
    • Offers more specific timeframes like "Past hour," "Past 3 days," "Past 3/6/9 months," supplementing Google's default ranges.
    • Features a modern, user-friendly date picker for "Custom range."

  • 📏 Exact Size:
    • Precisely filter images by entering exact Width × Height dimensions directly in the menu.
    • Comes with a list of common predefined exact sizes (e.g., 1920×1080, 1280×720).
    • Fully Customizable: Add, edit, delete, and manage your own list of frequently used exact sizes with custom labels via the settings panel.
  • 📐 Aspect Ratio:
    • Filter by image shape: Tall, Square, Wide, or Panoramic.
  • 📄 File Type:
    • Extensive file type filtering including JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, SVG, WEBP, AVIF, ICO, and RAW.
  • 🌍 Region (Greatly Expanded):
    • Search for images from dozens of specific countries/regions, far exceeding Google's native advanced search capabilities.
  • 🔍 Site Search (Integrated & Customizable):
    • Quickly limit your image search to specific websites (e.g., wikipedia.org, flickr.com).
    • Includes a list of popular sites by default.
    • Fully Customizable: Add, edit, delete, and manage your own list of preferred websites for site-specific image searches via the settings panel.

    • A dedicated, multi-tab graphical interface to enable/disable entire filter categories and manage the visibility of individual options within each filter.

How to Use:

  1. Perform an image search on Google.
  2. Click on "Tools" to view the filter bar.
