This simple script will auto-click the comment sort link if it detects comments are not sorted how you prefer. The default is to make them sorted ascending (oldest first), but you can easily change this by editing the script.

You will need to add additional @match entries in the script to match your JIRA server.

This script is necessary because if your site administrator has the site wide preference set to the opposite of what you prefer, and you click to change the sort order, a short while later (a matter of days or hours) it will revert back. So this script is a workaround until Atlassian can implement "Store comment sort order in user profile" (JRA-5443), which has been open since December of 2004.
