Adds a button or keyboard shortcut to summarize articles, news, and similar content using the OpenAI API (gpt-4o-mini model). The summary is displayed in an overlay with enhanced styling and a loading animation.

Summarize with AI

Adds a little button to summarize articles, news, and similar content using the OpenAI API (gpt-4o-mini model). The button only appears on pages detected as articles or news.

Beware, on the first run the script will ask for an API key, you can get one here

The model used is gpt-4o-mini, which is a cheap model, but it's not as good as gpt-4o , but it's great for most cases.

Installation

  1. Install tampermonkey extension or similar for Safari/iOS
  2. Head to the repository than choose to install
  3. After install visit any article/site and be happy
  4. Sometimes check for updates, if found a bug open an issue
