I will have to look into it, if I find that nothing seems to work, I will have to remove the download. but I will look into it and see if it can be fixed anyhow.. thanks
You can’t directly download working full PDFs without proper authorization (as Scribd obfuscates and serves content in parts), but you can dynamically capture and render the scraped pages into a printable/downloadable version.
Thanks a lot for the reply.
Very interesting way of going around the restrictions... I can see that it works well for digitally created PDFs that mainly contain text, but unfortunately, the tables on scraped pages are scrambled, and any images in the document are lost. I am not sure what Scribd did, but most of the downloaders that used to work now stopped working
Because now its requires a login/password to get PDF. Otherwise it sends corrupted PDF.. I dont think there is any other way. I can look into seeing if Images and tables can be scraped as well. But I am not sure if it can.. but I will look into it.

That explains everything...The formatting of tables and text-free images are still missing given the restrictions, but OCR is working fine. I guess we will just have to get used to it for now until there is a way to get around this. Thanks a lot for the update and explanations.
Sadly pdf downloaded by the script is corrupted. I think this is a common and very recent issue with all Scribd downloaders. Any ideas of what might have happened?
