You can use external iframes on https, as long as they're also https. What makes you think you can't?

add's don't show on the website
They would only be prevented from showing if you were using some sort of ad blocker or security software. Vanilla Firefox does not block this.

This site is showing add banners as Iframes , however , you can not use external Iframes on a https page.
All add's are shown as error's
(not that i really care but i guess the site needs some income to keep it running)
