This script allows you to set keyboard shortcuts for various wrangling actions, such as pressing the "Save" button or opening the /comments page of a tag.
Enabling Shortcuts
On most wrangling pages, you'll find a "Userscripts" menu option next to the "About" menu. From there, choose "Wrangling Keyboard Shortcuts". A Configuration GUI lists the different pages and the wrangling actions that are available on them.
(Some of the wrangling actions are only available if you also have other scripts installed, such as the Wrangle from the Bin and Copy Characters & Syns To Clipboard scripts. They have a note on them.)
Click into the textfield, and press the key combination you want to use as its shortcut. The shortcut will be abbreviated as three letters:
- A (for Alt), C (for Ctrl), or M (for Meta, aka the Win or Cmd key)
- S (if you pressed the Shift key)
- the letter or number you used
In addition to opening URLs (in the same or in a new tab) and clicking buttons for you, the shortcuts can also add fandoms and canonical tags into the appropriate textfields. Just make sure you enter the tag names exactly as canonized. You can choose which pages these tag shortcuts should work on.
Removing Shortcuts
To disable a shortcut again, click into the textfield, and press the Backspace or the Del key.
Note
v6.0 is a complete rewrite from scratch to use newer, simpler logic of recognizing keyboard shortcuts. Previously, the expanded versions of vaaas' script had something called the RelHelper. v6.0 no longer supports it. If you're looking for the code which still does, ping me.
