This script gets caught by ikariam rate limiter, or whatever it is that trys to detect automation.

I have ran this script 24/7 for past view months, editing for my taste, and adding slack chat bot to notify any desired action. Great script with one problem. Based on my experience, unless you modify the code to add short timeout on click events, you get caught. I think gameforge has some kind of rate limiter within short period of time. In addition to adding random time for each batch of action, this script needs longer time period on each action performed. The automation detection includes how many requests you put on to the server within short time period (as this kind of behavior can only be performed by automation scripts, or maybe broken browser).

I forgot to disable updates and lost all my previous changes on this script. Feel sad that few days worth of my work disappeared after I returned from my vacation. I'm not a javascript user and I had read through javascript documents for this script. And poof, my work is gone. Running this updated script for 2 days, I got blocked access again right now. Adding about 100ms + random range(0,300) ms on each action won't affect performance much, but it will do the job to keep you from getting blocked. And this popup window for logging is okay I guess, but the location of the popup window will be better on corner or whatever location that does not block the town view.

Hey! Very sorry to hear you lost your work, that must be very annoying. First of all, thanks for using the script and submitting feedback as feedback is important for any project. It's quite interesting that you mention Ikariam now has some kind of automation detection. Never noticed that: could be because I've missed out on Ikariam for a few years now. Would like to hear more about your experience. Could you please email me at [email protected] and specify in more detail the changes you made to the script, so that I can implement something similar too for others to use? Would love to hear as many details as possible, and your insights about request rate limits.

As this is open source, in the furture we should strive to work together to bring the best features to everyone. I will add something about that to the script description.

Thanks a lot!
