as this has never happened to me and no one else has reported this issue before, it's possible another script or addon is involved

no, I don't think adblock. Maybe try turning off the script and seeing if the video still gets muted after pressing the 'Next' button under the video player
after i turned off the script, auto next and "N" key shortcut never muted the video.
