Sorry I haven't responded sooner Paul but I've only just seen your comment. I'm glad you've found the script useful.
As for extending the search period to ±5 years, it would be fairly simple to implement but I'd prefer not to deviate from the options the GRO offers us (regardless how limited they are) as I'd prefer not to breach any T&Cs.
Lovely tweaks to GRO search
This is a cracking usability improvement to the GRO search page. Selecting dates and gender from the dropdowns is a pain on a small screen, and this really tidies things up. The access keys for adjusting dates and searching again take it to a whole new level.
I don't want to annoy the GRO by suggesting this, but a little testing shows that their backend supports year±5 (and larger!) searches, so perhaps the script could enable these by default?
It's been a while since I've done any GMing, so reading your code was also fascinating. Thank you!
