YouTube List View is a powerful Tampermonkey userscript that restores the classic, highly requested "List View" layout exclusively to your YouTube Subscriptions feed. If you are tired of YouTube's massive, screen-filling grid layout and prefer a clean, compact, and easy-to-read vertical list, this script is for you!

  • Classic List Layout: Automatically forces your Subscriptions feed into a single-column vertical list.
  • Quick Toggle Buttons (NEW!): Adds beautifully styled native YouTube "glass chip" Grid and List icons right on the interface so you can swap layouts on the fly.
  • Custom Settings Panel (NEW!): Features a built-in, draggable settings menu (Alt + L) to fine-tune your YouTube experience. Includes a Light/Dark mode toggle for the panel itself!
  • Deep Customization:
    • Adjust Thumbnail Width, Container Width, Title Font Size, and Meta Font Size using smooth sliders.
    • Adjust the "Notify" (bell) button width to prevent text clipping.
  • Quality of Life Toggles:
    • Hide Shorts Section: Completely obliterate the Shorts shelf from your Subscriptions feed.
    • Transparent Panel: Toggle a sleek, glass-like blurred background for the settings menu.
    • Hide "Most Relevant": Automatically hides YouTube's annoying "Most Relevant" sections.
    • Hide Dividers: Remove the horizontal lines between videos for a cleaner look.
    • Fix Shorts Scrolling: Modifies the "Show Less" behavior for Shorts shelves so the page doesn't jarringly jump around.
    • Watch Later Shortcut: Injects a handy "Watch Later" button directly into the left sidebar (if not already present).
  • Video Descriptions: Option to fetch and display the first 3 lines of the video description right next to the thumbnail, just like old YouTube!

⚙️ How to Use

  1. Install a userscript manager like Tampermonkey.
  2. Install this script.
  3. Open YouTube and navigate to your Subscriptions feed.
  4. To open settings: Press Alt + L on your keyboard, OR click the Tampermonkey extension icon and select "⚙️ Open Settings Panel (Alt+L)".
  5. Drag the sliders and toggle the settings to your liking. Settings are saved automatically!
