I have been racking my brain trying to figure this shit out and it turns out that it just needs a simple setting changed. This comment is from the person who solved it, so I will link to their comment above even though it goes to a different (similar) extension's page.

reddit broke this script?
I've periodically used this script for a long time now, but today I noticed that it no longer works at all. I suspect reddit changed something which broke the script.
