http-nowhere is the opposite of https-everywhere by the EFF: it replaces links that has https with the insecure http. Why would anyone want to do this? I don't know.

This script will still respect your security by not modifying links that are the same host as the current URL. So it shouldn't downgrade the security of the website you're browsing, if that site's security is misconfigured. But the real reason is, I don't want to modify links that are just anchors to certain parts of the same webpage.
