Youtube Video Ratings Bar with Power Meter (DISABLED)

This used to display ratings bar on YouTube thumbnails, but Google has blocked how it gets its data. I'm disabling it for now in case people still have it running.

ratings bars on the "video wall" thumbnails - issue

"video wall" thumbnails don't show ratings bars on YouTube pages opened through http, only pages through https work fine.

I'm unable to replicate that. The script already allows for http YouTube pages, although as soon as you open one, it will immediately switch to https. The bars show up as soon as you hover over the fullscreen button.

@"Steven Guy" you can't replicate that, because you probably have add-on (like HTTPS Everywhere) that redirects every http request to https. On clean Firefox (no add-ons installed, only Greasemonkey+Youtube Video Ratings Bar with Power Meter) this is not a standart behaviour. Try opening Private window and test it on Youtube, you should be able to open both http and https videos and see the difference.

All I have on Firefox is Greasemonkey, and even in Private Browsing mode, YouTube defaults to https. That's on PC and Mac. Doesn't matter if I click a link or type it in. The reason for this is because you definitely should not be accessing your Google account through an unsecure connection like http. That's just asking for trouble. If your browser is not automatically switching to https for Google services such as YouTube or Gmail, then you ought to get that checked out.

Anyway, update to the new version and it should be okay (again, I can't test it).

Well, I still can open videos through http and https in Private Browsing mode (without using Google account). But I have to admit, that after opening YouTube videos through https in normal mode I can't open them in http. Nevertheless, there are other situations, when "video wall" thumbnails don't show ratings bars:

  1. in videos with age verification (example)
  2. using "Youtube Video Ratings Bar with Power Meter" together with YouTube Link Title script

Did you update to the new version of the script?

Of course, I use and tested latest version of script 2016.03.01 and Firefox 44.0.2. Everything updates automatically. Addition to issue with age verification: when you log in using Google account - "video wall" appears with ratings bars, but I prefer to use Bypass YouTube age verification Improved, which seems to be incompatible with your script.

Wait, why are you giving my script a yellow rating for this? I can't help it if you use some complicated, lengthy script that does all sorts of weird crap and happens to break my script. I mean, sure, tell me about it. That's what the blue "bug report" is for. But you're giving the script a bad review and then expecting free work from me.

Sorry for making you piss off ((( I changed rating to "No rating" meaning this is a feature request. Compatibility issue is not your fault. Definitely your script deserves highest ranks. Once again, accept my apology for not making it cler from the start.

I'm sorry for sounding like a jerk. I've got a toothache (it cracked in half and fell apart and now I have to see a dentist I can't afford) so I'm a bit grumpy. Thank you for being the better man.
