Open the original source of an IG post, story or profile picture

Hey, I'm doing most of the work on click, so it's a big change to make it behave exactly like a link, but it's something that I can try in future. For now I can add an option to the settings to always open in the background (not focus), would that be useful? Also, I think chrome already does that, by holding ctrl/command while clicking.
Is it possible to add middle click functionality to the source buttons? eg. if you middle click the profile picture, the picture is opened in a new tab but focus stays on the current?
