I've updated this one with Rangsk's version because it was causing lag on some actions. In the author's words:

I ended up writing this script instead. I wasn't happy with how unresponsive f-puzzles felt at low fps, and if I increased the fps limit it didn't really help the CPU situation.

Lowers CPU usage by preventing re-draws while no inputs are occurring.

Your CPU use should be much lower while not using f-puzzles (mouse not moving over reactive elements, not inputting things, stuff like that). There should be no noticeable difference in behavior, but cpu use should be essentially 0 if you're not actually doing anything in the active f-puzzles tab.
