Yes... I want to add "@grant none" too, but I don't know why the background tasks wouldn't work properly with "@grant none".
It doesn't use any GM functions nor unsafeWindow though, some of the setInterval functions on the opened background tabs simply don't launch with "@grant none" on my test environment, Mac+Chrome+Tampermonkey.

Anyway, you can compare the CPU reduction with the Task Manager of your browser.

In my test cases, the reduction is bigger on Firefox than Chrome, and Mac than Windows.
Now I added @grant none again.
I solved the background tasks' issue.

Glad u fix that! This actually thanks to my old PC and chrome's flags as I notice it lol
The PC is so old that can be always at 100% CPU usage even in 360p :P
