It works. Just change the http://reddit.com/user/* from "http" to "https". Reddit is now HTTPS only.

I have been racking my brain trying to figure this shit out and it turns out that it just needs a simple setting changed. This comment is from the person who solved it, so I will link to their comment above even though it goes to a different (similar) extension's page.
