Embedded players away

First of all, thank you very much for the last improvements to the ViewTube_GM.

The question is:
-------------
Other plugins like the LinkTube (https://greasyfork.org/scripts/2985-linktube) and the 'YouTube Link Title' (https://greasyfork.org/scripts/413-youtube-link-title) do perfect job together to substitute any embedded players with HTML5 player. It would be great to expand such trick with plugged-in players (for example, the VLC consumes less resources vs HTML5 player).
IMHO, this option could be hard to implement in the ViewTube_GM due to the include/exclude interference. So, please, can you create a separate script to connect the VLC, and others included in ViewTube_GM, to the LinkTube for playing embedded videos with a player by user choice on the same webpage?

Thank's for your attention

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. The script is designed for use with videoplugins already, for the reason that plugins (like vlc) consume less resources than flash or HTML5. Just use the second drop down menu and select your preferred plugin resp. mime type.

Or do you want a integration with other sites, who integrate e.g. youtube links in their page? I'm not going to do that, as it would mean adoptions to too many pages and a lot of testing. As a workaround you can use LinkTube to get a link to the original video site and open this link in a separate browser tab (as you probably already know). By the way, you should better download LinkTube from the orignal author here: http://isebaro.com/linktube/

Yes, I mean the second one: "integration with other sites, who integrate e.g. youtube links in their page". My hope was that's no big problem for javascript to take a clean link and paste it in framed VLC on the same page as HTML5 does. You opened my eyes, thank you.

BTW, the LinkTube has an option to open the link in pop-up window. Can this way be helpful to connect VLC on any site?

May be this will work - but even extracting the correct video url (not the video page!) could mean much more programming work than I'm willing to spend for this feature. LinkTube does you just give the link to the video page. May be it is easier than I think right now, but still at least I can very well live with the LinkTube workaround.

OK, I see. The problem is the LinkTube way is very uncomfortable for news-sites.
Thank you anyway for reply.
