YouTube Vertical Toggle Videos/Comments

This script enhances the YouTube browsing experience on vertical or narrow screens (e.g., portrait monitors or mobile devices). When the browser width drops below 1000px, it introduces a toggle switch below the video player, allowing users to easily switch between viewing the “Up Next”/Related Videos and the Comments section, which are otherwise displayed together in cramped layouts.

What this script does:

  1. The toggle button is always injected into the page, regardless of screen size.
  2. It is only visible when the screen is narrower than 1000px, thanks to responsive CSS rules.
  3. It remembers the user's last toggle choice (videos or comments), but only if the user enables the “Remember toggle” checkbox next to the switch.
  4. It restores that toggle state on new video loads or when resizing back to a narrow screen.

Feedback is appreciated!
