NOTE: DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE. If you know how to fix it, please fork it and gimme a link. The malicious fuckfaces running YouTube keep changing shit and now you can't even watch embedded videos in a tab anymore.

Just the video. Taking up your entire window. No comments, no stats, no description, no engagement buttons, no sidebar. No distractions.

This userscript takes advantage of YouTube's /embed/ URL which is ''intended'' for embedding videos on websites, BUT if opened as a normal URL, it conveniently fills the entire window with just the video and none of the video page interface.Works with all 3 YouTube URL formats: youtube.com / youtu.be / shorts, and also preserves playlists.

If you are opening video links from YouTube's search results, you must middle-click the video links for this userscript to work.

This is because YouTube's website is a single-page application, and this userscript only runs at document-start.

If you know how to get around this, lemme know.

Notes:
  • Rarely, an uploader will disable embedding on their video. You'll see an error that says "Video unavailable
    Playback on other websites has been disabled by the video owner    ". The only solution atm is you have to temporarily disable the userscript to view the video.
