Funktionen

Erfolgreich getestet mit Firefox 37.0 und Greasemonkey 3.1:

  • geht nach Wartezeit automatisch weiter zum Video
  • startet Laden des Videos und pausiert, wenn bereit zum Abspielen
  • fügt Titelleiste einen Download-Button mit Direktlink zur Videodatei hinzu

Hintergrund

Die Wartezeit von zehn Sekunden ist leider unvermeidlich und wird serverseitig erzwungen. Wird der Countdown umgangen und die Anfrage zum Video schon früher abgesendet, antwortet der Server lediglich mit einer neuen Warteseite. Die Videos auf StreamCloud sind für gewöhnlich MPEG-4-Dateien mit H.264-Video und AAC-Audio.

Es bietet sich an, einen effizienten Werbeblocker wie uBlock zu benutzen.

Features

Successfully tested using Firefox 37.0 and Greasemonkey 3.1:

  • continues automatically to video after waiting period
  • starts buffering of the video and pauses when ready to play
  • extends the title bar by a download button with a direct video file link

Background

The waiting period of ten seconds is inevitable as enforced by the server. When evading the countdown and sending the video request earlier, the server responds with another waiting page. Videos on StreamCloud are usually MPEG-4 files containing H.264 video and AAC audio.

It's convenient to make use of an efficient ad blocker like uBlock.
