Multiple saving of links on services of a caching of web resources

(English is not my native language, PROMT Translate)

Hello. I believe that such script is necessary to much. There are services which keep contents of Internet pages, for example, of WebCite or Internet Archive. When links become the dead, on these services it is possible to find archival copies of pages.

But it is possible to add references to these services only one by one. Such script which would allow to add quickly at once many references is required.

The script, acting, for example, as follows is necessary. I bring in a form of a script of many URL, for example:

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplay

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8682/google-search-syntax-replacement

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8628/i-need-replace-text-in-facebook

I press the button, and these pages are archived on WebCite:

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplayhttp://www.webcitation.org/example1

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8682/google-search-syntax-replacementhttp://www.webcitation.org/example2

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8628/i-need-replace-text-in-facebookhttp://www.webcitation.org/example3

And results http://www.webcitation.org/example1 , http://www.webcitation.org/example2 and http://www.webcitation.org/example3 come, for example, to my mail.

Thanks.

Check this:

I think this is better than adding an userscript with a @include * rule.

I read information on the reference given by you, but I didn't understand how it is possible to keep at once on WebCite at once a great number of references but not to enter the link on one. You can set an example how it is possible to archive on WebCite at once some links? For example:

https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplay
https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8682/google-search-syntax-replacement
https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8628/i-need-replace-text-in-facebook

Thanks.

http://www.webcitation.org/archive is a service of WebCite that does the web archiving. That site reads the params url and email, and sends a copy of the given url to the given email.

How works the service:

Take this example:

http://www.webcitation.org/archive?url=https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplay&email=yourname@example.com

The service is http://www.webcitation.org/archive, and the params are url https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplay and email yourname@example.com.

So the service sends an email to the email with an archived copy of the url.

Working with bookmarks:

Replace the url param with %s like this new example: http://www.webcitation.org/archive?url=%s&email=yourname@example.com Save this as a new bookmark on Firefox or as a new search engine on Chrome, with a keyword like wc.

When you write in the addressbar the keyboard wc you are calling that bookmark/search-engine, and the browser replaces that %s with the parameter you wrote. Better explained with an example: when you type wc https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplay the browser calls the bookmark/search-engine replacing the %s with https://greasyfork.org/ru/forum/discussion/8752/youtube-stop-autoplay

Warning, if you type wc blah blah you are calling http://www.webcitation.org/archive?url=blah blah&email=yourname@example.com. Tip, first go to the url, and when it loads type wc+space at start of the url in the addressbar.

You cannot use multiple links at once, but it is easy to use on every link.

@leoncastro, I use WebCite for saving of my links long ago.

You cannot use multiple links at once, but it is easy to use on every link.

When I need to archive many web pages, I spend a lot of time. I believe that the script much more would reduce time spent on an archiving.

Hello Саша

I've made a script that allows you to send any current url or multiple links at once: WebCite Archive | Vivre

It runs on all http* and applies two commands to the GreaseMonkey-menu.
Please read the notes and adjust the script to your settings.

greets ~ Vivre
