Museum Day, Flushies, and Xanax travel optimizer for Torn
LostMaster Travel is a travel-planning userscript for Torn that helps you decide where to fly and what to buy based on your current goal.
LMT combines three specialized travel optimizers into one compact interface:
LMT is designed for desktop Torn and TornPDA.
Museum mode helps build balanced plushie and flower inventories for Museum Day exchanges.
Rather than choosing items based on immediate resale profit, Museum mode examines your current Museum inventory and recommends travel that helps balance your sets.
Recommendations are separated into:
If the mathematically preferred destination has a stock problem, LMT can provide a safer Recommended alternative.
Museum mode intentionally avoids financial information because its purpose is Museum inventory balancing rather than immediate cash profit.
"Flushies" refers to plushie and flower running for quick liquid profit.
Flushies mode compares foreign plushie and flower opportunities and ranks destinations primarily by estimated profit per hour.
LMT provides:
Recommendations can display:
If the mathematically best destination has a stock problem, LMT continues showing the BEST opportunity while providing a safer RECOMMENDED alternative.
LMT does not simply assume that every item can be sold at the cheapest current Item Market listing.
For Flushies and Xanax, LMT samples the cheapest 1,000 actual units available on the Item Market and uses the price around the 25% depth point as its estimated sale value.
This helps reduce the effect of unusually cheap individual listings while providing a practical resale estimate for frequent travel running.
Xanax mode evaluates foreign Xanax runs using the same Quick/Extended system.
It considers:
Because Xanax runs can require carrying tens of millions of dollars, LMT displays both:
Purchase cash
The expected amount required to purchase your full travel capacity.
Recommended cash
Purchase cash plus a cushion for possible foreign Xanax price movement before you arrive.
The Xanax cash cushion is:
2% of the expected purchase cost, with a minimum $250,000 cushion.
The cushion only affects the recommended amount of cash to carry. It does not affect the actual purchase-cost or profit calculations.
LMT separates destinations into two strategic travel groups.
These are intended for active travel running when you expect to return to Torn relatively soon.
Longer-distance destinations beginning with Hawaii and continuing through the remaining foreign locations.
These are useful when you expect to be away from Torn for longer.
Your configured travel profile changes estimated flight times and profit/hour calculations while keeping the Quick/Extended destination pools consistent.
LMT Settings allows you to configure your travel setup.
Options include:
Your saved profile is used when calculating travel times, trip economics, and recommendations.
LMT uses YATA foreign-stock information to help determine whether an item is likely to be available.
Possible stock states include:
EXPECTED IN STOCK
EXPECTED OUT OF STOCK
STOCK UNKNOWN
Stock reports include the reported quantity and age of the information when available.
LMT distinguishes between:
The mathematically strongest destination.
A safer alternative when the best option is expected to have a stock problem.
This is particularly important for Xanax runs, where arriving at an empty shop while carrying a large amount of cash can be costly.
If YATA is temporarily unavailable but LMT has a previously successful stock report cached, LMT can continue operating using that cached information.
The interface warns when cached stock information is being used.
If no usable cached YATA information exists, LMT reports the failure rather than pretending current stock information is available.
LMT changes its interface depending on where you are in the travel lifecycle.
The full optimizer displays Quick and Extended recommendations and helps determine your next destination.
LMT detects your destination and changes from deciding:
Where should I travel?
to:
What should I buy when I land?
You can switch between Museum, Flushies, and Xanax while flying to see what each mode recommends purchasing at your destination.
Once you land, LMT simplifies itself into direct purchase guidance based on your current country and available travel capacity.
Examples:
Buy 28 Xanax
Buy 28 Wolverine Plushie
Buy 28 Crocus
Flushies and Xanax can also display the expected purchase cost.
LMT recognizes your return flight and switches to a simple:
Returning to Torn
state rather than displaying irrelevant destination or purchase recommendations.
LMT uses a compact floating panel with three primary modes:
Museum | Flushies | Xanax
The interface supports:
The panel can remain compact during normal gameplay or be enlarged when you want to inspect more information.
The Settings area uses a separate visual surface from active travel information to keep configuration and recommendations easy to distinguish.
LMT includes an API Inventory Check inside Settings.
This allows you to inspect the Museum inventory information LMT is receiving from the Torn API.
Click API Inventory Check to open the inventory display. Click it again to close it.
LMT requires a Torn API key with Minimal Access.
The key is used only for information required by LMT's travel features, including:
Your Torn API key is:
LMT does not operate a remote API-key or account database.
YATA foreign-stock information is retrieved separately and does not receive your Torn API key.
LMT displays its API-use disclosure when entering or changing an API key.
Invalid, disabled, or otherwise unusable stored API keys are detected so LMT can stop making unsuccessful requests rather than repeatedly submitting a bad key.
LMT caches information to avoid unnecessary API traffic.
This includes:
Item Market requests use larger API pages where supported so LMT can construct its market-depth sample using fewer individual API requests.
LMT provides information and recommendations.
It does not:
Every gameplay action remains under the player's control.
Foreign stock, foreign purchase prices, Item Market prices, and other conditions can change between the time LMT calculates a recommendation and the time you arrive or sell an item.
Therefore:
LMT recommendations, stock predictions, and profit calculations are estimates, not guarantees.
Always verify important information before committing large amounts of Torn cash to a trip.
LMT 2.0.8 has been tested and confirmed working on:
Tampermonkey is the recommended userscript manager for desktop installations.
LostMaster Travel 2.x redesigns LMT around three dedicated travel optimizers:
LostMaster Travel is an independent community userscript and is not affiliated with Torn or YATA.
Always verify important prices, stock information, and purchase costs before committing large amounts of Torn cash to a trip.
