Request Script to Limit JS on Heavy Sites, but not Block i.e Performance Issue

There's a couple sites I go to for business, but they are so heavy they bring my poor old machine to a grinding halt. For example, navigating GoDaddy. I'm not at all sure how this could be done. If one blocks JS, the site doesn't work anymore, which kinda defeats the point. However, if any script is free to run, the site gets so heavy the browser doesn't work anymore. I don't want to buy a new computer whenever website developers loose their minds and build a site that only a quad-core can render.

Could someone help with a script that will simply create some limitations on JS? Maybe there's a way to have a click to play option, like is popular with flash now? Or perhaps a script could somehow identify the scripts that are important to the site functionality, yet block other stuff like tracking or ads or animations...

If there's stuff out there I'm unaware of, point me that way.

Thank you.

Try using a selective js blocker like NoScript, uBlock, uMatrix to block every js file except the bare minimum that allows using the site.
