It only works for new tabs. I have been trying to find ways to get the script to also work when clicking on a video or letting autoplay do the same, but I have not yet found a way. As for working immediately, I focused more on making sure it works well, than on making it work immediately.
doesn't work immediately, have to reload each video page for this to remove the gradient.
