Github Notifications Dropdown

When clicking the notifications icon, displays notifications in a dropdown pane, without leaving the current page.

You can view your GitHub notifications from any GitHub page. Clicking the notifications icon will produce a dropdown. (You can always click the link at the bottom to get to the full notifications page.)

Notifications can be marked as "read" in the normal way. (We do not mark them as "done".)
First shows notifications where you were mentioned, then notificataions when you are participating, then all other notifications.

I'm not sure if these features still work after GitHub's 2020 updates:

(Optional) Can makes files in diff views collapsible.
(Optional) Can change the colour of the notification dot.
