This script filters posts that contain certain text on their title. If the instance you use doesn't contain "lemmy" in the main url, you may need to add a new @include line in the script with your instance base url.

You can add new words to filter posts using the tag dialog that you can access from the widget at the bottom right side of the page (should appear if your instance is supported by the script).

By default it will leave stubs showing you why each post was removed, but you can toggle this off.

These are the options & features:

  • Blocked tags -> Open the blocked tags dialog to add new blocked words. Posts that have these words on their title will be blocked. You can filter using case sensitive or insensitive matching.
  • Show stubs on filter -> Show stubs that will tell you when a post was filtered and why, with a button to show the post.
  • Fix broken video previews -> In some instances some reddit and imgur videos are shown as images. This replaces those images with the actual videos.
  • Auto open media previews -> Opens image and video previews on posts that have them. If the post is an external source that can't be previewed it ignores it.
  • Unblur NSFW thumbnails -> In case your instance doesn't offer the option to unblur NSFW thumbnails, this will unblur them, otherwise you should use the instance setting for that it has it.
  • Mark new posts as NSFW -> Ticks the "Not safe for work" checkbox by default when creating a new post. Use this in case your instance doesn't offer the option, otherwise you should use the instance setting for this.
