Add "The script cannot work" rules

§
Публикуван на: 29.09.2021

In the following cases, the script does not violate any rules (including the "no reason to exist" rule).

  • The core functions of the script is in the external script, but the external script has been deleted.
  • The script has a functional description. The script cannot be used directly, it requires the user to modify its parameters to work, but it does not provide instructions for use.
  • The script has a functional description, but it does not match any website and does not provide instructions for use.

Please add "The script cannot work" rules.

This is no different than a script not working for any other reason. Reports are not a good tool here. Instead, leave a review. With enough reviews, the script will be automatically deleted if the author does not respond.

The script has a functional description. The script cannot be used directly, it requires the user to modify its parameters to work, but it does not provide instructions for use.

It'd be nice if complete instructions were provided, but I'm not going to delete a script for this.

The script has a functional description, but it does not match any website and does not provide instructions for use.

If "does not match any website" means "it runs on all websites", then it's violating:

Scripts must not include @includes, @matches, or keywords for sites they do not provide functionality on.

If "does not match any website" means the @includes and @matches can't possibly match anything, then again that's "not working" and should be dealt with by reviews.
