Hide Web Elements Pro is a complete page‑level instrument panel. It gives you surgical control over what appears on any page, how it behaves, and what data you can extract. With a floating dock that stays out of the way, you can hide, edit, reveal, extract, skip, freeze and clean – all from a single unified interface.

🧰 Core controls

  • 🎯 Hide – point at any element, choose Page‑Only, Site‑Wide or Global persistence.
  • ✏️ Edit – directly rewrite text, form values, or replace images/video/audio while preserving site styling.
  • 👁️ Reveal – instantly bring back hidden, blurred or overlay‑blocked content.
  • 🌐 Scope – cycle between Site / Page / Global for every rule you create.

🛡️ Advanced automation

  • Anti‑Paywall / Anti‑Adblock – three levels (Weak, Normal, Extreme) that automatically remove blocking overlays and restore scroll.
  • Auto‑Close Modals + Logins – dismiss cookie banners, subscription gates, and login popups.
  • Smart Time Skipper – detects countdown timers and “skip ad” buttons, then acts on them automatically.
  • Scroll Lock Defeater – releases page‑level overflow locks without breaking site layout.
  • Blur Removal – strips CSS blur and backdrop‑blur from hidden elements.

🍪 Cookie Workspace

  • Inspect, edit, create and delete cookies for the current domain.
  • Export / import entire cookie sets as JSON.
  • Works with the modern Cookie Store API and falls back to document.cookie.

❄️ Navigation Freeze

  • Ask Every Time / Block All / Allow Same Domain Only / Allow All
  • Intercepts anchor clicks, form submits, window.open, location.assign and history navigation.
  • Allows domain‑based allow‑/block‑lists with wildcard support.

⌁ Rules management

  • All hiding and editing rules are stored locally and survive page reloads.
  • Edit any saved rule inline from the Control Panel.
  • Wildcard conversion for class/ID selectors ([class*="…"] / [id*="…"]) works automatically.

✏️ Permanent Edits

  • Edit text, form values, or replace media (image/video/audio) with permanent rules.
  • Edits can be saved as Global, Site or Page rules.
  • Media replacements can be stored in IndexedDB – works even after page reload.

🔗 Link & Media Lab

  • Extracts all links, images, video/audio sources from the page – including shadow DOM and iframes.
  • Preview media directly in a floating overlay.
  • Download media using GM_download (with fallback fetch + save).
  • Media Grid mode and full‑text/URL search.

⏩ Quick Actions

  • +30s skip – advance video/audio, zero detected timers, and click “skip” buttons.
  • Reveal hidden content – unblur, unhide, and remove overlay position locks in one pass.
  • Manual +30s works on every media element and timer control on the page.

User Interface & philosophy

  • The floating dock collapses to a small icon and can be dragged anywhere.
  • Every dock button can be hidden from the Control Panel if you prefer a minimal dock.
  • The Control Panel uses a sidebar with clear tabs: Tools, Rules, Edits, Freeze, Logs, Backup, Cookies and About.
  • All toggles are instantly persisted – no need to click “Save”.

Getting started

  1. After installation, the dock appears on the right side of every page.
  2. Click the ⚙️ Control button to open the full panel and explore each tab.
  3. Use 🎯 Hide or ✏️ Edit directly from the dock – point and click.
  4. Customise the dock visibility from the Tools tab.
  5. All data stays on your device – no cloud storage, no external tracking.

This script was built for users who want a single, reliable tool that handles hiding, editing, overlay removal, media extraction, cookie management and navigation control – all inside a modern, responsive UI.

Note: GM_download is used for media downloads. The script automatically falls back to fetch + save when the Greasemonkey API is not available.
