Enhances YouTube Embeds with custom volume controls, hotkeys, and some optimizations.
The recent YouTube embed UI update restricts volume control to a simple mute/unmute toggle, preventing users from fine-tuning audio levels. This is particularly inconvenient for platforms like Holodex, where balancing audio across multiple simultaneous streams (POVs) is essential.
🚀 Features
Volume Control: Use the **Up/Down arrow keys** or your **Mouse Scroll Wheel** while hovering over the video player.
Playback speed: click the speed button to cycle (0.25x–2x),
right-click to reset to 1x, or use < > keys or scroll wheel when hovering to the speed button.
Advanced: Press Shift + S or click the stats button in the bottom right corner to quickly toggle the "Stats for Nerds" overlay.
Lightweight: A pure `user.js` script designed to work seamlessly in the background.
📖 Usage
Once installed, the script automatically activates on any page containing a YouTube embed.
🛠️ Installation
Install a userscript manager like Tampermonkey, Violentmonkey, or Greasemonkey.
Click the green "Install this script" button above.
The script will now run automatically on any website with a YouTube embed!
