I don't see the difference on firefox 34.0.5...
Seems different only on overflow hidden.

This script is aimed to provide the scrolling behavior in old Opera.

Before Opera 12, if you point your mouse on the horizontal scrollbar (the one at the bottom) and roll your mouse wheel, you can scroll the page horizontally. Roll down to the right, roll up to the left.

If you never use a mouse or scrollwheel, this script is completely useless for you.

If you are using Chrome, and are looking for a smooth scrolling extension, you can try checking the "Always use script's scrolling handler" option. It will active smooth scrolling even when scrolling page normally.

The Opera-style scrolling is default in Linux (Arch Linux, Firefox 34).
